Default What can I do to a 02' Duramax Diesel to make more power?

My dad has an 02' Silverado 2500HD with the Duramax Diesel in it. He wants more power, and I heard there was some compute stuff that you can do to up the boost on the turbo.

What do you guys recommend. He also wants something that might help get even better gas mileage.

It sees a lot of city miles as well as frequent trips to North Carolina from Florida.

Thanks

I saw TRUCKS! a couple of weeks ago and they did a catback and a Bully-Dog Propane injection setup. I believe they dynoed out at something like 450(guess) RWHP!! Which is awsome considering the drivetrain loss is quite high in a 4x4!!! I'd say catback first and then the propane!!

If your looking for 75-120hp and better mpg a computer box is the only way to go. It takes 5 minutes to hook it up. Leave the propane to the guys looking for ultimate power. To make that kind of power on propane it also has to have a 120hp box to help. There are bigger hp boxs out there but the turbos tend to fail. A friend put a 230hp box on his truck made it 600 foot and the turbo exploded oops.

I have 03 dmax 2500hd 4x4 with edge hot juice box.Kind of pricey around 1000.00$ 5 minute plug and play HUGE increase in performance.Dmax will dust off my 8.1 2500hd 4x4.Its impressive to break the tires loose at 40mph in a 7300lb crewcab 4x4

Also, what are the prices, and where can you get them?
