Default What cam for most low end TQ w/ stock stall for towing?

What cam would be best for low end TQ? I want to be able to tow 6K easier so low end TQ would be nice. I am keeping the stock stall because this is for the yukon family ride/tow rig, I just want as much TQ as possible between 1700-2200rpms. I dont really care how it performs up top. Thats one thing I miss about those old vortech 350's was it had tons of low end TQ.

I liked the 2k vette cam 198 207 500 500 115.5, I pulled 2.15 60' with it on a stock converter. it also went 13.67 in the 1/4 here is the dyno graph of the cam. with bolt-ons

any cam is gonna loose some low end... Vinci has a 200/208 TQ cam... that should be the same as stock idle but have more towing power. The biggest i would go is a 206/212 114
do you want lopey sound also? If so go with a 112 lsa on a 206/212

i had a 00 vette cam, but decided it wasnt worth the time to install. I have a 210/218 114 now, but i wouldnt reccomend that for towing big loads

Im also interested in this I will be going back to the stock stall and have been thinking of a 214/214 with around .580 lift on a 111 something like a small "old man" cam

Id love to see what the vette cam would do with a 112 lsa and .580 lift

thats a killer graph V8

The "old man" cam may be something to look at I guess. Maybe a custom grind 210/212 112LSA with .600/.600 would be cool too.

I just wish I knew what type of lobe/lift makes more low end TQ vs. top end power.

My dyno graphs show no loss of low end with my VHP 062, and I still have the stock converter. Power peaked at 5800 or so.

210/218, .551/.551, 112

Check with Vinci about their Ultra-Torque cam.
Specs are 210/218-551/551-116
Idles like stock, gave me loads of low-end, it's what they recommended for towing for me, although I do have the blower.
