whats the biggest or best cam that i can put on a 5.3 without doing any major head work or piston work.with the following mods k&n induction, crank pulley, longtube headers, tci 3000 , hp tuner i want a can that has mid and lowend or whats the biggest cam i can go with minor head work?

 

i got a thunder racing tr227 that i know will work with stock heads for sale. link is in sig. im not sure how big you could go though.

 

going with the biggest cam isn't going to perform the best unless your combo is right. check out my combo. it isn't the biggest cam around but it is setup perfectly with my bolt-ons. it also has great streatability, reliability, and drivability. on the hwy i get 20mpg and the city sucks b/c of the big stall. all i did to the heads was change the springs and pushrods. i turn this **** to 6700 too. i'd say look into this cam and others with around 220 duration. hope this helps... lance
