The 212/218 is very streetable and has a nice hit to it. If i were to do it again, i'd go with 216/220. No matter which one you choose i'd recommend custom tuning.

what do you think i would run if i got the 216/220 cam and all the mods i listed in my first post. i would like to run a 13.5-14.0 do you think it would be possible? if not what else would i have to the motor to get me there. i dont really want to get a forced induction, and i plan on getting n20 after i get the times i want on the motor. thats why i am looking at a bigger cam.
where would i buy a 216/220 cam at? i just found a ls1 hot cam it is a 219/228 .525/.525 wouldn't that be more of a cam for forced induction or n20 because of the exh being open longer? what do you think about that cam?
sorry if i am being stubborn about this 216/220 cam. please bear with me. i just want to find the perfect cam bacuase i dont want to have to buy and put in a different one if it isn't big enough. is there anyone out there that lives by michigan that has that cam, and maybe i could ride in there truck?

I have the 212/218 .558/.563 (high lift) on my truck and it works great, big difference from 2500 to 6200 RPM. Tuning is a most.

With all the parts you listed with the 216/220 cam you would turn 14.70s NA and 13.80s with a 125 shot. That's pretty good compaired to a 16.0 stock time. You've got to remember that a extended cab with 4wd is really heavy.

do you think a bigger can would help me out any? what about any of the others ones i have listed above?

those are not the times i am looking for at all.

does anyone know how much more of a gain i could get if i milled the heads and got some rollar rockers? hell worst case if my times aren't down to what i want after all the mods i listed i guess i strip it and buy a set of slicks and a 2wd SCSB or maybe a SCSB 4x4 like parish. who knows.
