I wouldn't opt. for the Thorleys. "you get what you pay for" is all i have to say about them.
I'm guessing you got the chrome ones and they started looking ugly.

I like the looks of the TOGs and LaPoles but can someone tell me what is the point of a mid-length when they cost the same as the long tubes and you still have to fabricate new flanges?
TOG: CARB approval, guaranteed for life, thicker, better maunfactured, local CA company

The thicker and guaranteed part means they won't break. I don't really see mine breaking. The TOGs are CARB, so are mine. So I'm wondering whether the TOGs with their slightly longer but unequal length primaries would really perform better than a tri-y style header.

I'd love some coated AS&Ms, I didn't get them because they aren't CARB and they are more $$$250.

I think I saw a good deal on some AS&M headers in the classifieds.

The Thorleys coated are closer to 600 (565-575);they ship direct. I read an article about the tri-y...was developed for RVs and other heavies to give them more torque. Seems like more tq is always good as well as hp. I wonder if you get more of a tq benefit with the Thorleys.
