Default What is the best intake for a 5.3???

Just looking for some opinions on a good intake for the 5.3's. I have an 05 SCSB. I am about to install a TR224 with beehive springs and a 3200 converter next weekend. I first have to figure out my O2 sensor situation. Just looking for some opinions. I know that FAST seems to work on the LS1's. What about trucks???? Please let me know.

Ported fast 92mm with matching TB will be a very nice gain. Otherwise stick with the stock truck intake.

BlackGMC just did a LS6 intake and gained nothing, ended up putting the truck intake back on. Granted, that was on a 4.8L, but it's still way too much work for a minuscule gain if any.

that seems to be your best bet unless you have a lot of supporting mods that require some heavy breathing.

Consensus on LS6 Swap is zero gain. Too much trouble to do the swap with no results.

+1 with what wastedrubber said. If you don't need the extra air flow, just stay with a stock intake.

Ok. Thanks everyone. Why do they not have gains like the LS1's do?

cause of the weight of a truck. you need torque to make it move and the truck intake is the best option for that.
