ok girls i got a 2002 50k 6.0 lined up. also got my yank out geting fixed up. here is what i got planed.
springs and retainers
cam
arp head studs
arp rod bolts
mls head gaskets
like i said this is a budget set up, i hope to do a 409 sometime this summer. what else do i need to get this pig in my truck? i have never changed a cam before but with it out of the truck it looks like it will be real easy. I see they sell a balancer bolt, do you cam swapers really change that bolt?
i wasn't going to do the rod bolts but with the big cam i know i am going to want to spin it some
, also got a new fuel noid that is rated for alcohol so i should be able to put anything thru it i want. also going doing a single 3"QTP cut out and choping off the cats.
so, what am i forgeting, i dont want to miss some $30 part.

Depending on how big your cam is you might ought to get new pushrods and/or rockers.
As I was told with the bolt ... it's a stretch bolt and should be replaced. Torqued at 250ft lbs, I don't think you would have much to worry about though. I will be using the same one when I do my cam swap.
Other than that ... I think that's about all I'd change on your list.

pushrods.
I reused my crank bolt, but its only like $3. Do buy a pair of waterpump gaskets. I reused my timing cover gasket and crank seal. It looks like you got all the big stuff covered.

if you're looking for a set of rockers i have access to a set of comp adjustable 1.75 ratios for quite a bit under cost. if that's something you're interested in. it would put your cam at over .600 lift though.

I reused the crank bolt. I'm pretty sure the pulley won't be coming off anyway! You can replace the gaskets if you want. I have had the water pump off twice now and ran it hard at the Thunder event after the first time off and they are still good. As long as they don't flaten out or tear away from the metal, you should be fine. I wouldn't worry at this point about the rockers, but I would replace the pushrods like Flyer said.
