Redo tranny crossmember, buy adapter pigtail for electronics plugin, different driveshaft, different torque converter, etc. I'm sure a more detailed answer could be found in the transmission section of the forum.

Wow thats an expensive conversion. Why not a 4l65 or a built 4l60?

I figure do it right the first time and never look back. When you blow your built 4L60E or 65E because you get greedy with the nitrous or boost you'll be because you did'nt do it right the first time.

I'm not hijacking the thread but does all this apply to a 4x4 as well? The reason I'm asking is I have an STS now and want to go up to 7psi in the future and know the tranny will not be happy for too long. The transfer case mates up to the 80 right? Is it a different casting for the 4x4 trans?
Sorry for whoring the thread.

The conversion doesn't cost all that much more than just getting a seriously build 4L60-E, and you will still probably be replacing that 60-E again sometime down the road. Now all speed engineering needs to do it so make a conversion kit for the SS
