Default what air intake to get fopr my 2005 1500hd with 6.0

Im looking at buying a cold air intake for my 2005 1500hd truck that has the 6.0 in it. Which one do you guys see the best gains with? Any improvement in mile per gallon?

Take your pic, they all pretty much do the same thing, you can get the same gains by modding your factory air box, getting a drop in filter, and making an intake tube as you will from say a K&N FIPK or a Volant, both of which I've had and they performed the same as each other...very little sotp gains but more noise than stock.

I replaced the intake tube with a 4'' aluminum piece with couplers and modified my factory air box. 2nd pic is with the tube painted.

First pic looks great...

To the OP depends on what your looking for.. I had a AEM on my truck. It was a open element.. Volant makes a nice kit but it is a closed element.. How much money do you have to spend?? Also if you are good at fabbing things, you could make your own at a bit less then you could buy a new one.. They all do the same thing basically..

Looks like the same tube that comes with some of those eBay cold air intake kits for our trucks.

If you can find one of these UDP cai they are really the best...They have been tested against the stock tube and lid and they do gain hp/tq..

Here is a dyno graph of a udp vs stock back to back

Don't see too many of those UPD's running around anymore, the guys who have them are lucky to have them.
