Thumbs up WESTERS garage tuned 2500HD out ran an SS.....

With 285/75/16's,de-screened mass,UPD intake,160 stat. and my new WESTER's Garage tune- 87/91 octane, improved everything else.

I made a good 100 mph pull down an on ramp last night, than I noticed another set of headlights caught up to me after I slowed to 75 mph...it was a black SS (I own a black 2500HD CCSB)- I casually rolled up 3 of my 4 windows and started egging the SS on...FINALLY I just yelled "GO" to the passenger and I punched it at 70-72 mph...my truck down shifted to 2nd gear and left him...at 110+ he never reeled me back in, (we had to slow down due to traffic) after dicing it up a little more we finally hit another opening...this time he went first but since my WESTERS tune has a quicker detent than stock I still got the jump and we looked at each other untill a solid 100 mph before slowing for traffic.

I know for a fact the PPG 3 wouldnt have come close to that truck (I had in for 25,000 miles)- ALL I can say is my truck sounds better, pulls alot harder and is SUBSTANTUALLY faster with the WESTERS tune. I cant wait to add a YANK 2600HD converter to help the 0-60's with my 6000+ lb truck-BJ

disclaimer- This was against "one" SS NOT ALL SS's....so dont go getting your panties in bunch if your warmed up SS is faster.

Yea the SS's are much better from a stop than a 75mph punch. Your truck is hugh though. Still impressive.

Good for you man. Not getting my panties in a bunch, but stock SS's won't downshift to second over 70 because of the 4.10's. You should run one from a stop and see how you do. If you still win, then that would be impressive. Either way, a win is a win and congrats to you

Don't forget unless he is tuned, which it sounds like he isn't, the gov kicks in @108mph.
