That works if you still have it on with the belt. You're going to have to find a way to hold the pulley/shaft in place. Maybe could cut it off then drill it out or screw/weld/epoxy the thing to a plate, put it in a vise, and have a whack at it if the pump is garbage.

 

why not jus go elec fans? they can be done for really cheap

 

Well... other than welding most of these methods have been tried. One day, i'll put a bunch of coat hangers around the holes, secure it with a vice and beat it till it's loosened. But honestly, after trying it without a clutch fan, i've noticed a small increase in acceleration. So i'll research and give myself a month to decide if i should go electric or not.

Right now, have a bigger prob... after testing my truck, no leak, but the battery isn't charging. Probably my fault though...new post for that prob.

 

E-fans are the way to go. Just check if you have a 28 or 34 inch radiator before purchasing anything.

 

Don't use heat on the fan clutch nut or you will ruin it, and it does not take much. Use a clutch wrench or a big cresent and hit it with a 3 lb dead blow hammer a few times, in the right direction of course and it will come right off with no damage. Like posted before, you should have done this before you took the belt off, it would have been much easier.
