Well I swapped a relay and a fuse and the pump works now but the damn fuel level sending unit isnt working, my gas gauge shows dead empty and by looking in the tank I have ~1/3 of a tank. I used the pump to drain ~8 gallons out and at that point it sounded like the pump was cavitating(sucking in air with the fuel) and I didnt want to chance burning it up so I stopped there. Im not sure why it is doing that. I couldnt hold the jumper wire and watch the fuel feed closely into the gas tank to see if the fuel was getting erated(sp?) or not that will be a job for sunday. Tomorrow night Im taking the night off and saturday night I get to help move a friend With any luck(which I have none) it "could" be running Sunday

So new question: Why would the pump work but not the sender even though the two wires coming from each of the units goes to the same plug on the under side of the fuel bucket assembly?

although on the same connector the fuel level sender and pump are on different circuits.

Is there a fuse or relay for the sending unit to check?

So, when are you going to move to LA so Rex and I could help you get your truck going?
Seriously, keep digging Cody, I feel your pain bro. Your so close to getting the truck back on the road.

Hell, it can't be as bad as pulling the 418 for the 3rd time in a week with 3 days no shower and sleeping in the back of your truck in my shop.
