I want to get the 34" radiator and 07 efans. Do you have your efans set to both come on high simultaneously when the AC compressor comes on, or do you do 1 at a time? I figured the latter would help subdue the shock to the electrical system when the fans came on high.

With my LS1 fans, the 145 amp alt didn't really seem to help at all. I'm wondering what, if any, wiring upgrades the newer trucks have to help increase flow.

this thread should answer your questions... 145 alt, big 3 upgrade, etc...

I use the dual pin capabilities with the tune, so they come on with the AC pressure says it should weather the compressor is running or not...

Corey, I can't believe all the efans harness / relay issues members have been havin lately.

I suppose the heat will test the limits this time of year, running more w/. AC on. So, I'd think if failure is gonna happen, summer is when.

sorry, i was pretty happy to get 3 years out of my harness... orginal wiring and relays. I believe they are only 30amp relays and 12 gauge wiring... My orginal efans were alot small and did not pull the juice these do, but i was too lazy to upgrade the relays and wiring when i installed the new efans...

No worries, I was just bustin yer chops. :jest:

I would like to know if they pull more cfm w/. 2 extra fins. It would seem to be so. Anyone?

Let us know how it works out; I'm sure u will.

Wow, you went through a lot of hassle to get that all sorted out! It's seems almost 100% likely that GM must have upgrading the wiring to and from the battery to the alternator and so on with the new big fans. I haven't been in any of the trucks with the fans from the factory, but I'm sure GM wasn't sending them out with voltage drops.

Yeah I have just noticed that I get a significant dip whenever my fans kick on. Going to have to do something about it.

I know my fans are loud, and if i have the headlights, fogs and system going it will lug the motor and dim the lights for a split sec when they kick on at idle

Well looking at a 07 nnbs tune the fans activate on a percentage instead of a hard start. Check out G0901 and G0902. So it looks like it is a "soft" start.

Also i believe 05-06 trucks have a sensor on the main battery wire that senses voltage drops and basically kicks the alternator in he nuts to push out more amps. That is kinda a guess thou

you know this happen since we were talking about it the other day:nono:

lol.... ya it was kinda funny explaining it to my wife...

me: Ya my fan harness died today so i had to buy $40 worth of parts.
wife: Why did they die
me: Well they are 3 years old
wife: my fans on my honda are older than that
me: we my truck is alot bigger than the honda, besides yours came with fans, mine are basically rigged to work with my truck
wife: oh
me: oh indeed
wife: so that is what you gonna be doin this weekend
me: yep
wife: ok, i gotta do stuff for school...
