Default this was weird

I was at the track a couple of weekends ago
and made my run
@1/4 tank of gas
well about the end of the run
I heard it cutout at about 5400

while all the bad thoughts were running thru my head as to what happened
I heard a dinging noise and got the "hey dumbass you need gas" light
eased on around and stopped and the gas gauge was a little over 1/4

my thinking is that it pushed the fuel to the back and sucked up some air

anyone else seen this

My buddies truck did that but he had a little less than a 1/4 tank. It probably was just the fact that the gas was pushed to the rear of the tank and it sucked up some air. Especially if the gas light came on, im sure the sensor in the tank is probably in the front also. That would make sense. I wouldnt worry about it unless it happens again.

Been there done that. It will run lean when you get below a 1/4 tank. Mine does the same thing.

It must be nice pulling enough g's off the light to cause fuel starvation!

I want to have that problem when I grow up.......
