Simple bolt ons.....What has been the best bang for the buck? As far as combinations (intake/exhaust).

I just ordered AEM Brute force, underdrive pulleys, and my truck already has a true dual flow master....Will i feel anymore of a difference with the pulleys and cai?

What im asking is are there any other smaller mods you can do to help wake a 5.3 up (Other than cams, headers, etc.)

AEM CAI
UDPS
Exhaust
Tune

The majority of us here that still post have gone beyond simple bolt ons, so that's why we don't talk about it much anymore.

I found that my K&N intake works better than the previous ones I had before. I had a weapon R that I had laying around fitted on my truck, did alright, had just a drop in k&n with modified air box, worked decent, had a true flow, also decent. Really noticed a difference switching from the true flow to the K&N FIPK.As far as exhaust, my truck seems to prefer more of an open flow.I have tried chambered mufflers and mufflers such as magnaflow, but it just seemed to chock it down. The SLP loudmouth I's seem to work for me. The only other setup that worked good on my truck was a single Ravin Z33 with full mandrel bent 3" pipe from front to back.

I guess my biggest question is...What do you guys do BEFORE heads/cam...Headers and Cam seem to be the most common 2 big mods that a lot of you guys do, was just curious as to what steps to take before i get there.

The single best mod you can make is a stall. Air intakes, pulleys, electric fans really dont amount to squat in my experience.

Why waste all that money on little bolt ons when a tune, headers and a stall make the biggest difference?
