I just got back from the track, first run was a 14.13 @ 97mph and the second was a 14.16 @ 96mph. So it did gain from the 14.20 last time. I think the tune needs to be tweeked, I had trouble with the laptop and the HP tuners. The truck feels like it has alot more in it, the stall is killing it. The 60 ft times are 2.2x everytime. So I did gain alittle, just need some more tuning. I think it could also use some more cam.
I am off to the bar to ponder some new ideas, stall, cam, maybe FI. I don't know, but I have all winter to think about it. The track is done next week and so I am also for the season. Give me some 13 second ideas, rite now I need a beer.

Hopefully the tune will show net better results after it is dialed in. I would hope for 1200 bucks you would get better gains than that. With those heads you could definately take advantage of a bigger cam.

The 60 ft time is the same, 2.23,2.22, and 2.25. All of the gain was in the top end. I know it needs a stall, that is what kills the 60ft.
I am going to get the HP straightened out then log and see what I have. Another thing is I might be out of injector, I know some guys have had problems with just cams and exhaust running out of injector. So this could be part of the problem. Allen and I kicked it around an decided to wait and see, I could definately need to go to 42lbers.
I quess I expected more cause it feels really good, When I went to the 216/220 cam it lost alittle on the lowend, with the heads it doesn't feel as soft, I know there is a big gain at 2500 rpm.
Well it just needs to get worked out, I will work on it to see if we can get it done for Wednesday nite, If not Friday nite is it for the year, go for broke and see what happens, I am not done yet!

Don't despair Matt. It's in there somewhere. It just needs to get sorted.
Can to find out if COTS is turned off in the PCM? If it's on, the engine will go very rich and kill upper rpm power and thus hurt mile per hour. Feel free to call me at the shop. I'll be there tomorrow (saturday).
Now cheer up it could be worse. Your driveline parts could be left at the starting line...........
Cheers,
Richard

Man I just got done with the last post. I will get into it tommorrow. See what I can get figured out. I know it has alot left.
I wish it would have left the driveline there, I know it would have been making the power I want.
