Default Wastegate spring question??

I have an STS turbo on my 02 Silverado. I have the small yellow .25 bar spring in my Tial wastegate, which should give me 3 to 4 PSI boost!!!! I get 5 to 6 just like I did with my .4 bar red spring. Rick at STS had me check everything and it all checks out good. I was putting in the lightest spring because I am running a boost controller. I wanted to be able to turn my boost down if I ran into temp problems while towing...

Any suggestions???

i know this isn't the answer to your question but you should be ok with 5-6psi. you can pull a little timing with edit if the intake air temps get too high.

Im in Vacaville Ca. Its in between Sacramento and San Francisco. I have a local shop that has a dyno but it is a Dyno Jet and it does not have the ability to load the engine to spin up the turbo. Do you know of any shops that have a Mustang or Superflow Dyno? Ive called around but I have been unsuccessful.

You cant get a lower boost level because your wastegate cant flow enough air to keep the boost down. You are either going to go with 2 wastegates, or a bigger wastegate. or you need to eliminate any restriction after the wastegate. Also if your wastegate does not have its own exhaust pipe, you could try that. How is your outlet of the wastegate setup?

The lower the boost, the bigger the wastegate you need
