VSC Failed...

Save yourself the pain and aggravation, get away from that shitty VSC altogether!!! Look into one of the controllers below. They are 1000 times better.

Some more information:
FAL part number 33057 is not available retail because it is packaged (without instructions) to come with large dual fans.
FAL part number 33054 is available separately. It comes with instructions and can be found at Summit for $95.
For the record, I do not, nor have I ever, worked for, or accepted a penny from, Flex-A-Lite. In April of 2003 I purchased a VSC because I hated the old bulb-type mechnical thermostatic contoller. It had a copper tube that had to slip into the upper radiator inlet under the hose. It functioned but always leaked. I wrote a technical article for Full-Sized Chevy because many other people there wanted an alternative to the leaky mechanical controller. There were no other choices then.
About a week after posting the article to FSC, Lisa from Flex-A-Lite contacted me and requested permission to use it. I modified a few things in the article to make them more professional for Flex-A-Lite's use and handed it over. I did not accept payment of any type and they put my email address at the bottom. I was happy they came out with a better controller and they were happy to have the article.
Over the years I have answered many peoples' questions and helped many people solve problems related to these things. I have had communications with people who have had every kind of failure. I know exactly how much power they can handle and I know where the weaknesses are.
I posted here to share some of the information that I have. I was the only one who suggested a way out of this problem without incurring additional cost to the person with the problem. I do not appreciate being blasted for trying to help, especially by ill-informed people who are spreading misinformation.

In the future try not to be so disrespectful.
