hey guys i ve noticed my truck does a strange sound and every other chevy truck 1996 up it sounds like if the truck is forcing the engine too much. but i have noticed that it only does it at start up . one mechanic said it was the fan clutch but i dont know PLEASE HELP

more then likely it's piston slap witch alot of the new trucks do.nothing to worry bout.if it has oil pressure and isn't smoking or feel any different then when you got it.drive

well that is what it sounds like to me.it will do it when it's cold then stop when warmed up.someone eles will chime in

 

I think you need to give a better description of the noise especially since you're sure it's not piston slap. The truck is forcing the engine too much?
