I like it and I hear it is quite a bit better since they revised the tube. I, however, look at things from a $ per hp standpoint. You can make an intake for at most $45 or $50 and spend the remaining $250+ on underdrive pulley, fans, or something else and make more power per $.

I can probably figure out how to make the ram air tube but how do you make a new intake tube (b/w box and tb) and what do you use??

4" black plastic plumbing pipe and fenco (?) flexible rubber connectors and hose clamps from most home hardware stores and a little imagination. Some of them look like they might work guite well. Ebay sells K&N style filters and adaptors for about $40 -$50 if you don't want to do ram air into the stock box.

Best possible air intake: Take off the hood and run a snorkel scoop straight into the throttle body.

In all seriousness, I liked the FIPK a lot.

I don't have any way of knowing if it's the BEST intake system or not, but I really like my Volant (with ram air tube). FWIW, I'd buy a Volant again.

I like the Volant. True cold air, water resistant, a big air box, a big filter and a big scoop! One of the biggest SOTP upgrades I have done yet.

I like my UPD...$135 on the Xmas special. I'm kicking around doing a homemade ram air kit, but it will have to look clean.
