Default volant cold air intake a oiled filter?

i bought my intake used and am really searching for why my engine is running lean..so i pulled my filter and im bout to clean it, and im just verifying that it is a oiled filter or isnt?

The original filters are oiled, yes. Do not apply too much oil.

can i go buy some filter oil at a autoparts store..or do i need the "volant" oil?

A quality filter oil is fine. Clean the filter and allow to dry naturally, do not rush it. It will take all day to dry in the sun. Apply a lite coating of the filter oil and let sit another 20 minutes, then apply another light coating where needed. I use a towel to absorb the excess.

damn...well the filter doesnt look that dirty, but it doesnt look like it is oiled at all...this couldnt cause a lean code coult it?

you might need to get some CRC MAF cleaner and give the sensor a careful cleaning. A dirty filter alone will not be the problem.
