Im kinda still a newb to this american muscle V8 stuff but I cant get over how cheap everything is for this truck. My days with the 6cyl front driver vw's are past but I cringe everytime I think about the 1,200 dollar cam sets from Dr. Shrick..and yes I just put on my flame suit so feel free

I saw somewhere where they are billit not cast. I'm sure that has something to do with it, but it is also a dirrerent motor. Different firing order, cam position sensor, no distributor drive gear etc. I'm sure they are trying to make up re-toolinc, and engineering expences. A buddy of mine's brother in law owns kamotions, and one for me is still over $400.

stealth03ss. What kind of vw did you have? About 8 years ago I had a vr6 jetta with a 5 speed. It was pretty f'n quick. Nothing like that larger displacement torque though. No replacement for displacement.
