here, i'll edit joe's post some to show the price differences. now, on a single piece, there is some discount of the sale price as it is on the site. but there's more discounted when you buy multiple pieces.

VHP 044, 055, 056, 060, 062, 066 Camshafts: $365.00 ($399.00 {$413.00 for 044} ) savings of $34.00 ($48.00 for 044)

VHP/CRANE Dual Valve Spring Pkg (tit ret, hardened seats) $329.00 ($349.00) savings of $20.00

VHP/CRANE 1.7 or 1.8 Roller Rocker Arm Pkg $635.00 ($669.00) savings of $34.00

Camshaft and Spring combination: $675.00 ($748.00) savings of $73.00 (only $54.00 if you buy individually)

Camshaft and Rocker combination: $980.00 ($1068) savings of $88.00 (only $68.00 if you buy individually)

Rocker and Spring combination: $945.00 ($1018.00) savings of $73.00 (only $54.00 if bought individually)

Camshaft, Spring and Rocker combination: $1299.00 ($1417.00) savings of $118.00 (only $88.00 if bought individually)

You can also add a VHP/CRANE tuner to any of these options for $409.00 ($20.00)
and/or a VHP/CRANE valve spring tool for $100.00 ($6.00).

when you look closer, you'll see there's more discount there. just like anything else in the world, the more you buy, the more you save!!!

if I can dig up 60 more bucks I might still get the cam... but i just can spare the 300 House, 2 kids, new truck, garage and me broke

I agree, maybe my target price was a bit low since I picked up this slightly used cam/spring combo for $150.

If I was wanting every inch of performance out of my truck that I could get, I would be in as well. But I can not justify spending that much money on a cam for this truck. Instead, I found a used Z06 cam from a member here for $100. Just waiting to hear back from him so we can wrap it up. I feel for $100, the Z06 cam is worth the risk. I jsut do not understand why the Gen III cam is so expensive anyways? As I have already posted before....you can buy any roller cam (hydraulic or solid) from any manufacturer for a Ford or Mopar (I know, as I have both in my garage, a Mustang and a Dodge Challenger) for $279. So, why is the Gen III cam so much more???

But see, they're not. Because I am just not going to fork out that much money for a "truck" cam. I mean, I know that people will pay it (obvioulsy) but what warrants the big $$$$$ What is so special about these cams to justify the extra money???? They made out of Titanium or something??
