Thanks, I was kinda bummed on the way home last nite, I will go 13.xx though. N/A with no poweradder. I have a 408 in the works just don't know where it will end up, most likely not the SS.
Did you get that motor from Makuni? Is it getting freshened up before you put it in?

Yea, the shortblock's sitting on a handtruck in my dining room lol! It's really clean, the cylinders look brand new. I'm gonna go through it but I don't think it's gonna need a whole lot...maybe just some cam bearings. Honestly, if I had the cash I'd like to keep my truck as is and build the 6.0 for a 2wd rcsb, but unfortunately I can only afford one vehicle...and can barely afford to mod that

I have some clean 317's that I picked up on Ebay...I plan to have WCCH work some magic on them when I'm ready. I actually got the heads first then went shopping for a short block to bolt under them when I came across Makani's.

Then you kinda want to add that into your cam selection, The WCCH head fits my cam really well thats why I picked it. It is more for a mild lift cam. My heads sat here for a year for me to finally make a choice, but I can say the work from them is first class. Next week I am going to swap, so I will be back to the track to see the difference.
I want to build aonther truck so I am gathering parts for 408, I hope I am getting a 93 RCSB 2wd for free, it has like 150,000 on it, but it doesn't matter. I can build everything myself, gage and four link so it wouldn't be that bad.

Yea, I've been hearing alot of good things about WCCH, seems like they're really right on. I want to get some more info on the single pattern vs. exhaust bias issue...seems alot of guys around here are having good results with single pattern cams yet everything I read and local race engine builders tell me that if there's gonna be anything bolted up to the headers you want more exhaust duration for optimal performance. Maybe it's different with GENIII engines and my sources are more geared toward older gen designs.
That 93 project sounds pretty cool if it comes through for ya...good luck! I'm looking forward to see how those heads work out for you too...maybe with some good air and the right track conditions you just might be able to touch the 13's

Come on down to Etown, I am shooting for the Wedenesday nite of the 9th, if not it will be the 11th. If I get the 3 tenths out of these heads, I think it willl prove them to everyone.

I'll see what I can do...unfortunately I won't be driving my truck if I do go. I had surgery on my rt shoulder and elbow about a month and a half ago and I'm still recouperating. Maybe I can talk the wife into taking the trip though...I'd like to hear how your truck sounds

I will try to post some sound clips, I am working on getting my laptop figured out, so I can log some data for Allen to tweak this new tune for the heads. I am not really good with computers, I have someone helping me. I will see what I can do. All this talk of 13s is getting me highly motivated, just time is an issue now. 13s on the stock stall would be badass
