Im trying to figure out what i will need in order to swap in the vic jr intake when my new motor is finshed. i was looking at my stock truck intake today and came across a few vacuum lines that will need to be addressed when doing the vic jr . i am wondering how you guys adapted the lines and the map sensor and this other sensor pictured below. any pictures you have of how you did it woul dbe very helpful and any other things that you had to do to make it work. i see the parts listed but it didnt explain what you did exactly.

after thinking about it , i know im getting boost into the crank case since its coming out of the intake manifold and going to the pcv valve so that would cause crank case pressure not to mention loosing boost that could be going to the engine. does anyone know of way to fix this so you dont get boost going into the crankcase?

parish had some good pics on what to do wtih the vacum lines. I think the elbow that most use has like 4 tap holes for vacum. I may be way off tho but I do know he did a write up when he got don einstalling his.

 

ok i kind of figured that about the map sensor, and the hole on the passenger back side runner is probably for the brake booster? that still leaves the one pictured in the first picture and the other sensor near the throttle body.

 

I emailed them to find out about the elbow being tapped for the vacuum lines as I'm now interested too

 

what is the one by the throttle body? EVAP?

 

cool does anyone know exactly what the vacuum port is near the tb?

 

If the PCV is not shutting itself off under boost then you can get a check valve to put in line with the vacuum hose. I have seen posts about the check valves used in conjunction with a catch can. The evap solenoid is what you are talking about in the first pic? I don't know about how others have do it but you could make a vacuum manifold and mount it on the firewall or back of the intake. I have seen foreign cars set up like that. Later
