Default Vic Jr & Intake Leak

I bought a Vic Jr from another member and was going to install it on my newly built and bored 5.3-5.7. I have 317's on it as well. The problem is, I installed new LS1 intake gaskets and when I put on the Vic Jr, it leaks. You can hear the squealing of it pretty clear. I can get a .002 feeler guage in between but the marks on the heads show to have a good seal. Anybody else have this issue or have suggestions?? Thanks.

I had a problem with leaks. My first problem was that I didn't follow the bolt tightening sequence. Then the gaskets got blown to shreds and it was leaking real bad after that. I just replaced the gaskets and made sure to follow the sequence and not retighten any of the bolts after the first pass.

That's what I can't figure out. The gaskets are brand new and I followed the tightening sequence. I only started it and let it idle for a couple of minutes while trying to find where the leaks are coming from. All the surfaces look clean. It just doesn't make sense!!

Maybe it's not the intake gaskets. Is it possible to have leaks around the injector seals/o-rings?

Wouldn't you be able to see fuel leaking out too??
