VHO Track Times
#1
TXsilverado and I went out to HRP Sunday night. There were a few others out there as well from here.
Anyways, here are my 5 runs:
First pass: R/T: .932 60ft: 2.561 1/8: 10.146 1/4: 16.061 MPH: 91.88
Second pass: R/T: .997 60ft: 2.499 1/8: 10.146 1/4: 15.423 MPH: 92.39
Third pass: R/T: .798 60ft: 2.144 1/8: 9.192 1/4: 14.327 MPH: 93.63
Forth pass: R/T: .851 60ft: 2.345 1/8: 9.442 1/4: 14.620 MPH: 92.77
Fifth pass: R/T: .854 60ft: 2.176 1/8: 9.305 1/4: 14.483 MPH: 93.16
Traction was the biggest issue at first, but latter figured out the water trap wasn't needed for the factory 20's.
Will be finding out if the factory air box and tube will give better times over the Volant. I've heard you loose 1/4 mi time with the Volant CAI kit.
What does everyone think of the times?

Though on my 14.4 run, I did have the tailgate on and up. The spare was still off.
I also had a good 1/4+ tank of fuel on all runs.

looks like it took a you bit to figure the track out, but you appear to have got some nice runs
then we figured it out and both got into the 14's. my best was a 14.88@91.30. cant wait to get it tuned
we both lost some weight. tailgates, spares and my subwoofers.

Was the track that bad or were you guys driving thru the water? Last time we went I got awesome traction on all runs except the one where I stalled up to 2500 rpm's.
Also, what kinda tires were you boys on?

those times aren't bad. with that big of a tire you'll find that you're carrying alot of water to the line. if you use the water at all you need to go around it and back into the water. the vho has more than enough power though to just light the tires without the water. for the most part you only need to just heat them a little and get them clean. try running the pressure at max in the front and around 26 in the rear.

learned my lesson! im on whatever tires that come on the 2005 wheels. 245 70 17 i think?? i think jim is riding on eagle gt2's. not sure on the size.
