Default VaraRam Velocity Stack vs. Ported & Polished Throttle body?

Which one is better? When I go down to Futral next week, I don't wanna pay $120 for a P&P TB, when a $50 part is better! To me, it seems the P&P TB would let more air in. It seems like the VaraRam would gain low-end but, hurt the top-end. Anybody else have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

a P&P TB is gonna help alot on the top-end but affects off-idle power and throttle response, I am not going to voice an opinion on the VaraRam........yet
