Ï was shocked that the machine shop told me GM tolerance for valve stem height was .025". I'm not exactly within spec of Morel tolerance but I am close to middle travel of the lifter range.

How is the valvetrain noise level now?

Ï will get the rest of it put together tomorrow. If there is still noise, I will have lost all faith in aftermarket parts... Ï was doing a little reading on Crane Cams website about roller cam and lifter install and it stated to not pump up the lifters before install, but the Morel's came pumped up. Go figure...

Ï ran the engine yesterday will positive results. After a couple minutes of idling and a few 4k revs all lifters were quiet. Ï had one lifter that took about 60 psi of oil pressure, 4500 rpm, to pump it up. Ï drove the truck today about 15 miles and it still sounds good. They did bleed down a little over night. Not sure why they bleed down since the factory lifters never did that. After a couple more warm up cycles and an oil change, I will finally be able to see if the cam upgrade was worth a little less mpg. Anybody have recommendations on a drone free muffler? I am currently running a Gibson catback single side but I would like to hear it a little more.

Engine is still sounding pretty good. There is a slight noise at idle it's hard to say if it sounded like that before. Did a compression check today and all cylinders are over 190 psi. Ï was surprised how high the pressures were with 192k on the clock.
