Default valvetrain noise

for those who have a 5.7 ls1 does your valve train chatter? I was just wondering if this is normal. My 5.3 truck motor didn't do it.

I have seen truck with 30k with the valvetrain noise Ihave 97k in my and doesn't have it . The noise is in the rocker arm loosing the needle bearing, if you have the noise ck your oilpan drainplug, you will see the bearings There's aTSB by GM about this.

It's got a lot to do with springs, cam and pushrods too. I changed springs to the ls6 and I have very notable valvetrain noise now too.

Rocker arms should be torqued to 22ft/lbs
