What are the size of the intake/exhaust valves on a 5.3 head??

are they Intake-2.0 exhaust- 1.57

or are they smaller??

if so could I get those to fit on a stock head with port & polish??

OK... so I can get those bigger valves to fit and seat right....

Im gonna have my heads prolly sent out and have those ferrea valves installed along with port and polish... along with springs, retainers, rocker arms, and new pushrods... any suggestion for a tuner that does a good job and can get the heads back in a reasonable time??

Now what about cams??? Something mild and would benefit from a supercharger??

thanks

Mike Smith, Jay Johnson, and Lloyd Elliot all in DFW are all very good...and there are several others on the boards that can do a great job as well. it will take some valve seat work to get the bigger valves to work, and to go with a 1.60" exhaust valve you'll have to have new exhaust valve seats welded in.

I think you were asking what valves come stock in the 5.3 heads, that I don't know.

I do know you don't wanna go with to big of a valve in those heads because the cumbustion chamber is to small. If your set on getting bigger valves I would consider and recommend going with a different head.

If you're serious about getting heads, I would talk to some of the site sponsers, banners on the right side --->

They can also help you with a cam. For a cam suggestion there is a lot more info needed, like all your mods and what kind of truck it's going on.

Ok, I have borla exhaust , k & n fipk....

Flp headers will be ordered in about 2 weeks..

I also plan on prolly getting a Westers tune since I hear nothing but good things about it..

I want to do the head/cam thing because I want to get the most out of the supercharger... that Im gonna get in about a month or so...

So its either buy new heads from Patriot racing with intake-2 exhaust- 1.57

or get corvette heads, or just get new valves- etc and have the head i have already port and polished...
