Default Valve covers! Ideas & specs RUSH!

Totally overlooked! Will stock covers from my 5.3 fit and if not what about the 6L ones? Otherwise I'm open to suggestions - but I need it fast so I can get specs...etc. R/

Yep, unless you added roller rockers that need more clearance. Then you just get some spacers.

I guess they come reg or tall...I'll be needing the talls I think, unless I can find exact specs for the height of the lids...tough question to get answered apperently!

There's not much extra, pretty much none. There's only 3 total on each side that rub. I taped the edges of the rockers, all the way across. I mounted the valve cover without the seal, and just pressed down, and spun the crank over. It's pretty obvious when they're hitting. There's a shield/windage blocker that's inside, the cover. It took most of the beating, but it was only done in certain places, and not the entire length. The nipples that hang down are for the coil brackets. There's not a whole ton of material there, take off only what you need.

I had a set of 4.8 and 6.0 covers, they rubbed in the same places, used the same bolts, and the same gaskets.

There is a difference in valve covers 04 and up. The newer ones have a baffle that runs the full length of the inside of the cover. The earlier ones don't. The early ones have a smaller baffle that hangs down between the rockers. They won't fit on l92 heads but the newer ones do.

I left the baffle alone on mine.
