I swiped a 135 amp from a wrecked yukon. I also heard that the new crew cabs were coming standard with 145 amp. You could either pick one up at the stealership if you know someone who can hook you up with a good price or just go to the local autoparts store and buy one for a yukon or tahoe or whatever comes with at least 135 amp alternator. I think that should be enough if you have a good battery.

I have LT1 fans and added an alternator pulley in addition to the crank pulley. I even have a small stereo and have no problems w/ charging whatsoever. I have the stock 110 (?) amp alt.

Oh sorry I forgot, If you have power windows and locks, the alternators should plug right up to your factory harness, and you shouldnt have a problem bolting it up to your bracket, but you will probably need to buy a slightly longer belt because the cases on the 135/145 are larger diameter and will cause the pulley to be slightly higher than the stock 105. Hope this helps, good luck!!

I think all the 2005 come with standard 145 alt now.

I did see a 05 with one today but I didn't measure the pulley.
