I changed the fluid to texaco 75 /90 and added gm friction modifier per eatons recomendation.Eaton does not recomend Red Line for there rearends.Everything seems to be good now.

Valvoline 80/90 in mine, with GM additive. My Eaton came with a card in the box specifically stating not to use synthetic gear lube. I don't use it in the 12 bolt in my Z/28 either, and it has many 5000+ rpm launches on it.
