Default Paging Parish8 or anyone who know gtech meters

Hey man I just got a G-TECH pro meter,I need some help. When you do a 0-60 time or 1/8mile or 1/4mile time are you suppost to put the weight of the vehicle in?I heard you only need to put the weight in for HP and TQ measurements,is that true? Also, what number do you put your Staging and rollout settings at?I put mine at 10 but I dont know if that is right. Can you please help?
Thanks

Is this the Pro Comp model with the indigo blue LCD?

The weight numbers should only be used in HP an TQ measurements. 0-60, 1/8th and 1/4 mile times don't matter what you weigh. But using the weight you enter, the Gtech can estimate HP based off the times its sees.

Oh ok,thanks alot man.It seems that if I make the vehicle heavier then it will get lower E.T's.It seemed kind of weird but I did this 3 times and the heavier I set it at the quiker the et's were. What do you think?Have you ever noticed that? Also, does it matter if the g-tech is perfectly level?Or does that not matter either for et's?

i think roll out is 12" but i am not sure.

you dont have to have it mounted level but it does need to sit in one spot, if it shifts during the run then it wont be right, seem like they spent alot of time on that bracket and it still sucks.

a perfectly level road is what you do need or 2 runs over the exact same section of road in oposite directions and then average your times

i never tried changing my weight settings. i don't see why it should change your ET's. how much change have you been noticing? my times varied alot, they were not too precise. mine varied from 15.4x-15.8. i too thought that the weight was only for TQ and HP. mounting it in any direction will work as long as you did all the calibration steps. plus like Parish said, make sure it is mounted securely. i still think it has some slight movement. anyways, here is where i mounted mine. i took out the stock CD player.

mine seems real consistant, like 13.8-13.9 na, with the nitrous it isn't as consistant but there is bottle presure and knock retard and traction to deal with there.

i goto the exact same section of road, pull up to the exact same light pole every time, i would think your truck would be prety consistant.
