the '96 - '97 comes with a tube and filter assembly that still uses the factory lower box. If the demand is high enough we will release the lid for these systems later on this year they can be purchased separately..

Also after much research, we have started including the AFE filter with our kits instead of the K&Ns. We feel that their product has better design, better pleats, more surface area , etc. and it is still washable and has the million mile warranty. Plus they look AWESOME....

I might be the first to get in on this. Everytime Dad sees my smoked UPD he's like "I like your intake better than mine". He's got an Airaid right now and the filter gets crazy dirty in one spot. I think it draws a little air from the engine bay area. No problems like that with the UPD.

Let me check and see if he wants one.

Is it possible to buy just the UPD lid only? I e-mailed them and I haven't recieved a reply yet?

 

I want just the tube. What's the deal on that! I agree they are a very good design. I like seeing high quality aftermarket products at the right price!

Silvette_02 - Maybe you could buy the whole thing and work a deal out with FLEM since he just wants the lid.

 

When it says that -$20.00 w/o AFE filter does that mean if I wanted to buy the CF UPD ($229.00) then the price would be $209.00? Or is that already the price w/o the filter and to add the filter it would be $249.00?

 

I hope some of you guys took advantage of this while it lasted. The UPD is a very nice intake.
