What do you guys think of UPD air intakes?? is it just as good as
the FIPK??? also, What is your opinion on removing the MAF screen? I've heard good and bad things about it.

My UPD just arrived today, will be installed tonight. I have heard nothing but positive comments on the UPD. Since there is a GP going on on another forum, $179 makes it verry attractive.

I ran the AIRAID and the FIPK before I heard about the UPD but this UPD is my favorite now. All my best times to date have come with this air induction.

The screen removal is a great mod. It gives about 2 peak DEG. of timing and 4 to 5 deg. of timing across the full RPM band. It hard to feel the extra power in a big heavy truck but its there.Its FREE and well worth it..IMO.

What ever you decide on, just keep having fun and enjoy the truck..

How do you remove the MAF Screen I have tried to push it out, but I am afraid of hitting one of the sencors.

 

I got mine in yesterday and installed it last night. I like it 100 times better than the k&n(which is sitting in a box in the store room). It seems to give me some low end back that I lost with the K&N and it still pulls the same at 70+ mph. Use a flat screw driver and just pry it out slowly.Work slowly around the edges abd stay away from the wire sensors.
