What do you guys think of UPD air intakes?? is it just as good as
the FIPK??? also, What is your opinion on removing the MAF screen? I've heard good and bad things about it.
thanks,
Robert

Hey Robert,
I ran the AIRAID and the FIPK before I heard about the UPD but this UPD is my favorite now. All my best times to date have come with this air induction.
The screen removal is a great mod. It gives about 2 peak DEG. of timing and 4 to 5 deg. of timing across the full RPM band. It hard to feel the extra power in a big heavy truck but its there.
Its FREE and well worth it..IMO.
What ever you decide on, just keep having fun and enjoy the truck..

I got mine in yesterday and installed it last night. I like it 100 times better than the k&n(which is sitting in a box in the store room). It seems to give me some low end back that I lost with the K&N and it still pulls the same at 70+ mph. Plus the price is right in the GP going on right now.

GMCJimmy,
Use a flat screw driver and just pry it out slowly.Work slowly around the edges abd stay away from the wire sensors.
Icetraxx, I hear you man
