Off the subject, but has anyone used the AMSOIL air filter? Doesn't look like the K&N filters too well. I took off the UPD to wipe down the inside of the TB and noticed a lot of black soot. Maybe this is from the oil used in the K&N filter? Any other better filters out there?

I've read GOOD things about the Amsoil air filter on the net. Most tests show it flows quite a bit more air and filters better than both K&N and Airaid filters. Sound like the best of both worlds to me. That's what I'm going to order for my UPD. Which leads into me telling you guys I won't be going in on the GP. I bought a UPD from a guy that is selling his truck. Good luck with the GP anyway.

And for those of you that care. Here are the part numbers for the Amsoil filter and filter oil, TS123 and AFO. Go to www.amsoil.com and go to the online store and do a search for those part numbers. The filter is $47.50 and the oil is $3.55 (8 oz. bottle) or $20.70 for 6 eight oz. bottles. Man, I sound like an Amsoil rep.

For anyone looking into buying a UPD intake, it is a sweet setup. Just follow the instructions when installing it.
