Absolutely me too. I'm not in a hurry to do it so when I stumble across one I'll probably buy it and freshen it up.

I bought my lq9 (which turned out to be out of an 04 escalade engine by vin) off of ebay for like 650 or so and im glad i took it apart... Looked like it was sitting in guys yard and two cylinders had had water in them.... I wanna say #7 had a thick lining of rust in it.... Odd thing was the vin came up as an lq9 had the lq9 cam in it but it had pressed pins and dished pistons.... Which would lead one to believe its actually an lq4, either way i was planning to bore it and go with a slight dish on pistons anyway just for ptv clearance i just wish i had done more research and gotten the right cam and valve springs the first time around.....live and learn!!!
