my uncle has a duramax and has a dyno dominator and a power pup on it with a shift kit and its getting 22mpg

Thanks guys for the input. I'm currently trying to sell my truck but I'm not going to give it away. If it doesn't sell, I'll probably go with the Radix.

Go with the Duramax. Less likely to break something else later like trans or rearend. Forced induction I'm sure is fun but it could cost you more later. Go look around in the drivetrain forum. I plan to get a DMax next year.

That what I've heard as well, with towing only dropping to 15 mpg or so.

Price of diesel depends on where you live. In some areas it is cheaper than 89 octane gas.
