That sounds right for a 4.8L with a turbo.

That's a decent price for a custom ground cam, especially since some guys pay more for an off-the-shelf (i.e. Comp 212/218) cam.

i'm wondering if it will have anykind of lump to it. i e-mail them back to ask. i know the sound don't matter as long as it performs but it would be cool to have both.

With a reverse split I don't think you're going to have any lope. That's the kind of sound usually associated with mean N/A setups.

But you'll have something just as cool sounding - a jet engine.

This cam will have a little lope. If you use stock rocker 1.7 then your lift will be 547 intake and 545 exhaust and you can use stock LS6 springs. If you go with the 1.8 rockers you will need to upgrade the springs. Thank you

got this today from cammotion why can't they gimmie the 1.8 grind in the 1.7 form like .579(1.7)/.577(1.7) instead of .579(1.8)/.577(1.8)

Well, they have lobe profiles that they assemble to grind cams from cam blanks....it looks like they don't have profiles with that much lift. Considering the stock lift is right around .460, .550 is a decent jump.

Remember, with a turbo, you're already forcing air in to the motor - the lift is not as important as if you were N/A. And personally, I see the ability to use LS6 springs as a plus...they're very quiet, and cheaper than the Comp 918's.
