Tuning Poll

Where were these opinions when I bought my POS Predator last Fall?

Anyway, I voted for Nelson's. Though I'm sure Wester's would work fine. I'd buy from the Texan before I bought from a Canadian though.

I chose EDIT. I would prefer to have someone dyno tune my truck rather than get a mail order tune. I might go with a Nelson tune, but I'm not 100% sure yet. I have to do something soon since I'm putting in the 80.

I like my original Wester's tune, but I went from hypertech. I'd love to get my new tune that I ordered a month ago. Its seems a little rediculous that I have to keep rescheduling my install appointments b/c they are dragging *** since they already have my original $500 and have already charged me the shipping on this one. Guess Id better put in my order for my 6.0 tune now so I can get it by christmas.

Something you'll never do with a Hyp III, 4.10's and 28.8 tall tires,
I bought the hypertech in 99 because it was the first off, yes it did cut off time and raise shift points but it can't compete with a custom tune. Its to general.
I bought the predator and now it is a $400 dollar paperweight scanner.
I could write a book on the lack of performance and already have on this site.
My opinion and experience on Mail order tunes Nelson is #1. If his tune isn't the best he will make it #1.
Customer Service is top notch.
Does the others call you at your house, 5 states away to see how your tune is doing? When you just purchased a tune with about 70 other people on a group purchase? If so than good. Nelson does.
If you don't want to buy a laptop edit atap and don't live within a drivable distance of a dynotune. than Nelson. You can't go wrong.

hppIII is fine if you don't have many mods and you just want to plug and go, i felt a difference. got edit, it's a great tool, if it came with a manual that explained all the tables and the cause and effect, it would be that much better. but the reality for me is allen nelson is helping me tune it using edit, don't know the other guys, but as far as being easy to deal with and knowing their craft, allen has my vote.
