Default Tuners

I asked the guy at speed and truck world where to get a dyno tune and he referred me to a shop but he said that i need to get a diablo tuner or other tuning device in order to get the dyno tune. Is this information correct if so is the diablo the way to go or what should i do as far as getting a tune for my truck my mods are in sig.....(by the time i get the tune i will have the pacesetters and ory on this week.

He is wrong.........Tuning shops will use either hp tuners or ls1edit. A shop that specializes in the ls-based engine will almost certainly have hptuners, and will be able to tune you up fairly easy.

You can have ls1/ls2 edit, hpt, efilive, sct's custom software, and diablo's cmr software. the last two will require a flash handheld tuner. Most shops prefer hpt or efilive. Diablo and SCT are new to the game as far a true custom software.

Just check with them to see if they have any of the software listed above. Where are you located at? If they have any tuning experience, they should be able to hook you up.
