I don't like high stalls. Tried it with my tbi truck. Stock was like 1400. Put an s10 converter in. Didn't like it. Also put a ATI 3000 in my camaro which is the minimum the cam called for. Liked it at the track, hated it on the street.

I don't want to raise my OD rpm. Im not going to run oversize tires either. But bigger tires and stock gears are one of my pet peeves.

I would love one of the new drivetrains in an 02-06 truck. Impressive motors and finally a better transmission.

I had a converter with a 2000 or so stalk behind my 5.3 and it wasnt much but made a hell of a difference... But you didnt even notice it.... Was fine behind a stock 5.3, nowhere near enough for the new engine...

What's factory? 1800?

13-1400 maybe 1600 at most

Also depends on type of converter you use too, and how tight it is.... I know what you mean about annoying though.
