Tune up help

Ok in the spring time I'm gunna be putting Texas speed long tubes, ory, and a slp black wing cold air intake, my truck is a 2000 5.3 scsb 2wd, I also wanna do a tune up like plug wires, maybe coil packs and anything else you guys would suggest, a local guy is gunna tune it also it has 88xxx miles and not sure if that stuff was ever done, thanks open to any kinda suggestions or help!

Honestly, the wires are short enough there isn't a lot to gain. A lot of people, myself included, have had problems with the build quality of the MSD wires after a few times of removing and reinstalling the MSD wires. As stated before, I would just use OEM wires. Plenty of guys use them with long tubes with no issues.
Regarding plugs, most people run NGKs with the LS platform. TR5 or TR55.

I would get the MSD wires. They are better. You'll want to get the LS1 car wires if you have the round coil packs. The NGK plugs are great too. You could also take off the TB and clean it because the EGR on the 99-01 trucks will cause crap to build up on the blade until it starts sticking shut.

Yea I'm gunna do the throttle body I was told they build up a lot of crap and here's a pic of my coil packs, I just want to make sure these are the round ones your talking about lol just to be safe, sorry about the crappy iPhone pic
