Default Tune up before STS install??

Well hopefully this weekend I will be able to get my STS kit installed. Waiting on a buddy's helping hand.... So I was thinking about doing plugs, maybe wires, sea foam to clean engine out. Any other suggestions? I want to do this before so I don't have a problem and can't back track it to a real cause. One thing at I time I always say when doing major mods. Thanks guys.

Make sure you reduce the plug gap for boost. 0.047"-0.050" will work fine. Wide stock type gaps will misfire under boost. Not every time but enough to reduce power and throw off A/F ratio readings. What every you do avoid Bosch Dbl. Plats. they don't last with boosted engines, this is proven fact. Champions, Densos, AC, Autolite all work.

Not sure of your mileage but after 50K consider having a real injector flush done, the kind done while still running.

Well I just had all my fluids replaced by the dealer at 35,000 miles, they tried to pull the STEALERSHIP thing on me and said it was done and needed it and I should pay $280.00 to have it done when I did not ask them to do it. Well I did not pay a penny but got my tranny and rear axle fluid changed for nothing. But the oil change I think is a must since the Turbo will be using the engines oil for lube. I also use Mobil1 and have for 5 years now with the last couple of trucks and have had no issues. I use the real thick stuff in the summer, I think its 15w50 extreme driving formula or something, it still seems to out flow regular oil pouring it out of the container. I am not sure if it would be wise to use that thick of oil with the turbo though. Thank god it going to be cold til April here, I will be using the 5w30 Mobil1 until then. You guys think the Sea Foam crap is a good idea or not? I have heard it good and bad from people here.

Just do the Sea Foam before you change the plugs

Jerry, everyone is using TR55's as far as I know. You have a 6.0l is there any difference in gap for our trucks since I have a 5.3l? We will both have the STS base kit, but I will not be upgrading my injectors or adding an intercooler for a few months. Let me know what you think.
Tim.

I had the tr55's @ .35" and i was getting missfires so I went to the tr6's @ .35" and solved the problem. I think the gap is the same for the 5.3 and 6.0.
