I have just installed some lt's and an ory, cai, billet servo,and some ls1 fans on my 5.3. My problem is who should i get my computer tuned by. I have narrowed it down to either a nelson tune or a dyno tune with futral motorsports. I have heard nothing but good things about both places, but can nelson get as much rwhp out of my truck without putting it on the dyno as futral can. I live in LA so futral is not far to go. I called nelson and they said that they can get it close, but how close? Also how much torque management should i get removed, or should i just get it all taken out?

 

if your tranny has any mods done get 100% TQ management taken out but other wise id say 60-80%

definetely get a FMS dyno tune, no body can get a mailorder tune as close as a dyno tune can

 

I agree, whole heartedly although Nelson does a hell of a job from what I see.

 

i have a bone stock tranny with 100% tm removed for about 10,000 miles now. not a problem yet.
