Default Tune for fans?

Do you need a retune when you install fans? What else could you do for the fans to not run constantly? Thanks.

Temp probe and fan controller = no retune. I thought most efan kits came with one. It usually goes inside the upper radiator hose at the radiator. Not a great design IMO because the probe comes out where the hose clamps to the radiator. With a retune, I believe you can use existing temp sensors so you can avoid the probe.
