Some sellers pride themselves in their lobe design. Easier/harsher on valvetrain. But i thought that info was usually posted up for everyone to see anyways.

Chevy just bought a ford and made a commercial dumping rocks and toolboxes in the bed. Should we boycot chevy for buying a compeditors product for research?

If I bought my own cam machine I sure as **** would buy the most popular cams to study regardless of who made them to get a usable product out there without spending years and thousands of dollars on R&D that is already done. So if that rumor is true I say so what, as a whole the industry moves forward much faster with the sharing of knowledge, but I understand the need to protect ones property and designs. Anyone that is half decent at geometry can figure out a lobe shape based simply on the cam card, its not magic.

I don't think anyone should directly copy someone else product and sell it as their own, but I do think it would be smart to get an idea of what works and to start there as a basis for your own product.

Just like everyone gets secretive about advertised duration, without the .004 and .006 numbers you only have part of the picture.

So if I took the coilover 4x4 shock brackets I bought from you for my truck and copied them and they started selling them to the guys in this forum as KB Racing shock brackets for $5 less, you would be cool with that? lol

Custom cam profiles are one off parts . They are combinations of lobes and profiles that someone did testing with or there idea of what works and those are THEIR design (intellectual property).

My opinion is that it is not cool to blatantly copy someone else's design exactly and then sell it, as TSP is accused of.

If you OWN a cam grinding machine and an engine dyno, then you should cut your own designs, do your own testing and sell those to your customers.

Just like Stock48 has his designs like the triple 12, you can't call Isky and buy a triple 12 straight from them, they won't sell it to you. You have to call Stock48 and buy it from him and Isky will ship it to you, because it's his design.

until there is proof, it's all just a witch hunt. TSP has always been a stand up company when I deal with them. the LS engine has been around for almost 20 years now. there isn't much voodoo left to find more power in a cam. it's been explored and printed all over the place.

And a witch hunt may be all it is. From what I've see, It's LJMS that claimed on Facebook that TSP has contracted his customers that are selling there used LJMS cams and trying to buy them...

That's all I know...
