Default True Duals on 08 Chevy 5.3?????

I would like to gather some thoughts on true dual exhaust on a 2008 chevy truck 5.3. At what point do outgrow the stock y pipe? I have got to be pushing 400hp via comp cam, ported heads, roller rockers, nelson tune, CAI. I want to know if the y-pipe may be holding back a little more power.

I can do it on my truck since i have two cats, but will this help or hurt perfomance? How will she sound??

Any thoughts or experiances?

Stock torque converter? Hope you don't like low end power.

The shorties are holding you back a WHOLE LOT more than your single exhaust.

Default smog????

I am not all that familar with longtube headers, probably because i live in California and nobody ive seen runs them. They are not smog legal. Since CHP likes to set up mobile smog stations around on the side of the highway i dont chance it. Sorry for my ignorance but we live in a different world out here!

If you're still running through stock cats (if you're worried about smog you probably still have stock cats, which must also be in the stock location to comply with smog rules in most areas) then your Y pipe will not be your restriction.
